Well, it is finally time….. I can't avoid it any longer, and neither can you ….. Today, or Tomorrow (or maybe The Day After but no later), it's finally time to do something. Not just anything, but something. You know, that thing you've thought about more than once, but for whatever reason your *governor wouldn't let you do. (Just to clarify, I'm talking about doing something nice or out of the ordinary or funny. If you're thinking about something mean or dangerous, please hang up and dial 9-1-1 first:) Nothing comes to mind? In that case here are some ideas: 1) First take the governor off(*see below)....... 2) Say hello to someone you usually only nod to (and steel yourself for an interesting response). 3) Suddenly break into song at work (or at the gym or at the grocery store). 4) Learn a few words (e.g. "hello", "how are you", "I love you") in several languages and then actually use them (hopefully in the right context). 5) Create (cook, draw, write, build) something very very very different from what you usually create. 6) Whatever you do, believe it when you do it and do it with all your heart. 7) Then if you dare, REPLY ALL and confess what you've done:) HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN! from your sister, Brenda * "A governor, or speed limiter, is a device used to measure and regulate the speed of a machine, such as an engine. A classic example is the centrifugal governor, also known as the Watt or fly-ball governor, which uses weights mounted on spring-loaded arms to determine how fast a shaft is spinning, and then uses proportional control to regulate the shaft speed." http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governor_(device)
